The LSU Tigers did a poor job shooting the basketball as they had a 32.9/15.8/71.4 team shooting split. However, they excelled on the glass with 50 total rebounds (27 offensive, 23 defensive) and those extra possessions were the difference.
With nine steals, they were able to get extra chances. The Tigers did turn the ball over 14 times in the game. This LSU team dominated in the paint, scoring 38 of their 68 points there. It wasn’t pretty but they did win the game.
