Dawn Staley has been enjoying the offseason not only with her current Gamecocks players but also with former student-athletes. The star coach was seen having fun with former South Carolina player LeLe Grissett, and current players MiLaysia Fulwiley, Adhel Tac and Sania Feagin.
The four players were chanting a song and clapping to it when Dawn Staley joined in, grooving to the beat. In the Instagram story she uploaded, she said:
"They playing my song."
Staley enjoys dancing and singing from time to time and shares videos for her fans to see. Another instance of this was on June 12, when she uploaded a video of herself dancing with the Gamecocks staff.
Dawn Staley had a strict message for former student A'ja Wilson
The three-time NCAAW championship-winning coach organized a watch party with her former and current Gamecocks players to watch the Chicago Sky and Las Vegas Aces matchup on June 28. Dawn Staley was excited to see her former students, A'ja Wilson and Kamilla Cardoso, battle against each other in the game.
Kamilla and the Sky ended up losing against Wilson and the Aces in a 95-83 showdown. The two-time WNBA champ posted 31 points, but one of her blocks on Cardoso elicited an animated reaction from the Gamecocks head coach.
"The game is on, oh Kamilla! Oh no, don't do that to Kamilla! Do not do that to Kamilla. I'm gonna fight, I'm gonna fight, I'm gonna fight."
Staley has been on an exciting adventure since winning the national championship. The head coach was part of the star audience at the Vogue World runway show in France. She was photographed with the creative director of Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams and also received a large duffle bag from Vuitton.
