Mia and Mya Pauldo, the 2025 class recruits, announced their partnership on Tuesday on Instagram. The twins shared the news via Slam HS, where they also talked about their growth in basketball and explained the things that push them to success.
"IT is a feeling between the Pauldo twins, a feeling that only they know. IT is years of working together. IT is chemistry that’s earned. @gatorade," that caption read.
The Pauldo twins have drawn attention with their incredible performances for the Morris Catholic girls' basketball team. Mia is a No. 13-ranked five-star prospect in the 2025 class, while Mya is a No. 40 four-star prospect. This is not their first name, image and likeness deal, as they signed a three-year partnership with Puma in September 2022.
With Gatorade, the Pauldo twins follow in the footsteps of Paige Bueckers, who was the first college athlete to sign a deal with the brand in November 2021. Caitlin Clark entered a partnership with the energy drink company in December 2023 and has continued the relationship even into the WNBA.
Mia Pauldo has already set her sights on potential match-ups in the NCAA
In July, the Pauldo twins announced their commitment to the Tennessee Lady Volunteers. They revealed they had big plans to bring the championship back home, which the Volunteers last won in 2008. The history of legends like Candace Parker, and Pat Summit's association with the program, also seemed to play a role.
With their future set, Mia already has a few ideas for her potential match-ups in college. In an interview for Overtime, she was asked to name the most exciting SEC school to play against, and she said:
"I'm most excited to play against South Carolina. I feel like everyone wants to play South Carolina. You know, get a chance to knock 'em down. But I really feel when we go to college, we'll have an opportunity to do that.
"And even if we do take a L or anything, like that, imma still produce in the game. That will make my name big. I've also played against Mi'Laysia Fulwiley. I feel like I can hang with them. Elite players. I just feel like it'll be a good game."
Before she does that, Mia has one remaining year in high school. After leading Morris Catholic to win two straight Non-Public B state championships and three Morris County Tournaments, the pressure is on, as fans expect similar results in the upcoming season.
