Team USA continued its exploits in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics with a 95-91 victory against Serbia on Thursday. The team will take on France on Saturday in the gold-medal game.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team cheered on LeBron James and his teammates all the way from Tuscaloosa. Elite College Football shared a video of the Tide players celebrating as Team USA won after coming back from a 17-point deficit.

Stephen Curry led the game with 36 points, while Joel Embiid added 19 points. Fans in the comments applauded the Crimson Tide for joining in the spirit of togetherness in supporting the national team.

"The Tide brings everyone the joy in the life that they are looking for. So glad the Tide gets to experience that same journey," one fan wrote.

"You root for your country. Always. Love it," another commented.

Meanwhile, a few fans joked that this was all a ploy by the Crimson Tide to gain more fans and recruits.

Team USA's Kevin Durant comments on the importance of sports in uniting the people

Sports has always provided a platform for athletes to come together on the same platform, and the Paris Olympics are no different. With Team USA, in particular, fans have seen some of the best legends in the NBA play for one team.

Kevin Durant commented on this after the game against Serbia when he said (via Basket News):

"I love representing my country. We all love representing our country. You see the pride about your country when you come to play in the Olympics. You see the pride that Serbia has for their country. You see fans singing the national anthem throughout the game.

"You play Brazil, you see their fans and the pride they have for their country. I mean, there's so much divide in our country. There's so much divide in the world that sports is an opportunity for us to all come together and compete. At the end of the day, we all can go home and respect the game that we played tonight."

The Olympics fans also give athletes the chance to cheer on other athletes from different sports as well. Players like Stephen Curry, Devin Booker and LeBron James have taken time to support athletes in sports such as gymnastics and women's volleyball in Paris.
