Johni Broome played a big role in the Auburn Tigers winning their third SEC Tournament championship, where he was named the MVP.
The third-team All-American announced that he will take advantage of the fifth year of eligibility, granted to student athletes who competed during the COVID-19 pandemic, to return to the Tigers next season.

Broome averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.2 blocks per game, shooting 54.8% from the field, 35.4% from the 3-point range and 61.5% from the free-throw line.
He has led the team in scoring, rebounds and blocks in both seasons since transferring to Auburn from the Morehead State Eagles ahead of the 2022-23 season.
