Last-Tear Poa has been quite a key figure in LSU's set-up in recent years. During her college basketball career at Baton Rouge, the Australian hooper has garnered a decent fan following for her efforts both on and off the court.
Last week, No. 7 LSU flew to the Bahamas to take part in the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship. They enjoyed immense success, winning the tournament with a convincing 82-65 victory over No. 20 NC State in their first ranked matchup of the season.
Earlier on Saturday, Poa took to social media to give her fanbase a sneak peek into her trip to the Bahamas. The 5'11" senior shared a video post on Instagram:
Poa shared a reel from her trip to the Bahamas, donning a metallic purple two-piece and going with a hairstyle, which is different from the ponytail she puts up when she represents the Tigers on the court. Poa also used a short caption for the course, which summed up her confidence.
"One in a milli," wrote Poa.
Last-Tear Poa has been in the limelight in the last few weeks since she filed a lawsuit against the USCIS, per a report from On3. She did so due to the rejection of her P1-A Athlete application, "citing that her future events are not internationally recognised."
Although she missed the Tigers' season opener against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, coach Kim Mulkey made it clear that the lawsuit wasn't the primary reason for her absence.
Last-Tear Poa has featured in five games this season
The 5'11" senior has been a solid rotation option for the Tigers in the last two seasons. In her sophomore season, she averaged 3.4 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 36 appearances, playing her part to perfection in the Tigers' run to the national championship.
Last-Tear Poa saw more game time in her junior season, making eight more starts than the two she made in her sophomore season. She took the opportunity and improved her numbers, averaging 4.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 36 appearances, helping the Tigers make the Elite Eight.
This season, Poa has been involved in five of the Tigers' eight games this season, averaging 2.6 assists, 1.0 points and 0.6 rebounds, which could improve with more game time during the season.
