During a practice session with the Duke Blue Devils, Cooper Flagg wowed fans with a tough Eastbay dunk. In a short video posted by Bleacher Report Hoops on August 7, Flagg executed a perfect dunk.

As freshman Darren Harris cheered in anticipation, Flagg, the top player in the 2024 recruiting cycle, performed a flawless between-the-legs dunk, adding to the excitement.

Pulling off an East Bay funk as a 6-foot-9 player is quite a sight. However, the highlight factor for the fans comes in Cooper Flagg's absence of a run-up or pre-takeoff strides.

Flagg's athleticism played a huge role in making him fit into the Team USA vs Select Team scrimmage. Playing with some of the top talents in the NBA, Flagg could hold his own by leveraging his size, speed, quickness and vertical, enabling him to put up sequences like his isolation three over Anthony Davis before a putback on Bam Adebayo.

Cooper Flagg joins coach Jon Scheyer's team after reclassifying to the 2024 talent pool and looking past offers from Baylor Bears, UCLA, Michigan, West Virginia, Kansas State, Villanova, back-to-back champions UConn Huskies and others.

Duke went heavy on freshman talent other than Cooper Flagg this year

Duke might have become immediate favorites to contend for a title after they acquired the number one prospect in the nation, Cooper Flagg. However, few other freshman in their 2024 class are no less talented.

First-year center Khaman Maluach is another player who can heavily impact the Blue Devils with his in-game skills. He was part of the first-ever South Sudan roster to make it to the Olympics, the same team that nearly defeated Team USA in the July exhibition games. He is listed as the sixth-best talent in the class nationally by 247Sports.

Moreover, Isaiah Evans also joins the program as a five-star prospect, ranked 14th on the list. While a stacked Duke roster might not give Evans his due time on the court, he has piqued enough interest from the scouts to have NBA teams hovering over his performances.
