UConn women's basketball star Paige Bueckers took time off the court to hang out with friends at a bowling alley. Bueckers' Huskies went bowling on Friday and interacted with fans. The Huskies guard made a clean strike with her first bowl, eliciting cheers from everyone.

A video of Bueckers' bowling was captured on Instagram on Saturday.

The post was captioned: "Paige with the strike on her first bowl!"

Paige Bueckers is one of the standout players for Geno Auriemma's UConn women's basketball. With 20.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists from 55.5 percent shooting per game in her senior year, Bueckers is projected as the No. 1 pick for the 2025 WNBA draft.

Paige Bueckers set to play 100th game in UConn's Big East showdown against the Villanova

UConn women's basketball is set to play Villanova on Sunday in an important Big East conference clash. It will be Paige Bueckers' 100th appearance for the Huskies.

Bueckers has had a rollercoaster ride at UConn, becoming the first freshman in NCAA history to win the Naismith Trophy, leading the Huskies to the Final Four in 2020-21, and now having one final chance to earn her first trophy for the Huskies this season.

In contrast, during her freshman season, she sustained a right ankle injury that required offseason surgery. In a game against Notre Dame during the 2021-2022 season, she suffered a tibial plateau fracture and lateral meniscus tear in her left knee, costing her 19 games. She was able to return in time to compete in the Big East tournament and the national championship.

Bueckers missed the 2022-23 season due to an ACL injury. All of these setbacks did not weigh her down as Bueckers made a big comeback and played all 39 games in guiding the Huskies to the NCAA Final Four in 2024.

"I think I was kind of born with it," Bueckers said per The Day. "It's sort of in my nature. As a kid I was a tomboy. I played every single sport growing up at recess. I always tried to be the first pick when teams were being picked. I tried to win every single board game.
"Really, it's like you have a feeling that you hate losing more than you love winning. But I love winning and I hate losing and it's equal in me. I think it's just in my nature of wanting to be the best, wanting to win and doing everything I can to control that, to be the best and to continue to keep getting better and never get complacent with where I'm at."

Bueckers will enter the Villanova game with 1,967 points, 473 rebounds, 436 assists and 205 steals. She is also expected to reach 2000-point milestone, potentially joining former UConn stars Maya Moore (2008-11) and Breanna Stewart (2014-16) as the only Huskies with 2,000 points, and over 400 rebounds, 400 assists, and 200 steals.
