Iowa women's basketball player Jada Gyamfi shared a funny throwback TikTok that featured herself and former Hawkeyes teammates, Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall on Monday. The video shows the teammates in a bus as they discover which of the infamous king of England Henry VIII's six wives they were.
Gyamfi was Queen Anne of Cleves, Marshall and Martin were Catherine Parr, and Clark was Catherine of Aragon.
The quartet of Gyamfi, Clark, Marshall and Martin formed a close bond while they were at Iowa. Clark currently plays in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever while Martin recently joined the Golden State Valkyries.
Marshall retired from basketball and currently studies Occupational Therapy for her master's degree at North Carolina while Gyamfi is in her senior year at Iowa.
Jada Gyamfi reveals her career ambitions after Iowa basketball
Like Gabbie Marshall, Jada Gyamfi will not be pursuing a professional basketball career after she leaves the Iowa basketball program. The Johnston native revealed on her YouTube channel Taco-Bout Network on Jan. 21 that she wants to be an elementary school teacher.
"I want to be an elementary teacher," she said (1:18). "I haven't really decided what grade I prefer, but I think that I will be happy anywhere, and there is a little bit of a shortage for teachers right now. So, I shouldn't have any trouble finding a job. We need more teachers. Go to school to be a teacher."
However, Gyamfi cannot be a part of the student-teaching program due to her participation in college basketball. But she revealed she would be returning for an extra semester after she had used up her four years of eligibility.
Gyamfi, who is in her final year, has endured a difficult season with the Hawkeyes due to injuries and limited playing time. She is averaging 2.0 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists on 71.4 percent shooting.
