Iowa guard Kylie Feuerbach continued to entertain her TikTok followers with what she has been up to during the Christmas celebrations. In a video she shared on Thursday, she danced with her boyfriend, Yale point guard John Poulakidas and another lady in front of a brightly lit Christmas tree.
The trio danced to Tommy Richman's song, "Million Dollar Baby," with Feuerbach captioning the post:
"Try to guess who wanted to make this."
Feuerbach made her romance with Poulakidas Insta-official on April 12, 2022. The couple is known for attending each other's games and celebrating their milestones on social media. Their relationship is still going strong after over two years.
Kylie Feuerbach wants to take on a bigger role for Iowa
Following the departure of the trio of Caitlin Clark, Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin, Kylie Feuerbach is hoping to fill a bigger role. The fifth-year senior guard was a big part of the Iowa team last season, averaging 13.8 minutes per game.
However, Feuerbach wants to make bigger contributions this season, and she did not mince words in revealing her desire during the offseason.
“I definitely want to do a lot more on the floor,” she said, according to Sports Illustrated. “I want to be scoring more, but right now I’m focused on the nit-picky things this summer. I can improve my game in a lot of different areas, especially offensively. I’m getting my shots up, but there are some little things on that side of the floor that I can be working on.”
Feuerbach suffered a serious knee injury which sidelined her for all of the 2022-23 season. But Iowa coach Jan Jensen believed that she needed consistent playing time to improve her numbers.
"Kylie needs a few more shots within a game,” Jensen said. “When you have Caitlin, you’re kind of setting everybody else up and waiting for her to launch. Now, you’re going to see more shots from others. So I think you’re going to see Kylie be a lot more consistent.”
Feuerbach is averaging 6.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists on 31.8% shooting this season. She was in action as Iowa narrowly pulled out a 92-86 win over in-state rival Northern Iowa on Saturday. The senior guard didn't score any points, but she added one rebound and three assists in 19 minutes to help the No. 24 Hawkeyes to 10-2.
