Flau'jae Johnson, Aneesah Morrow and other LSU Tigers players are in Europe relishing their off-time before the season begins in the fall. As they are enjoying their boat rides and blue seas, the Tigers also pulled a prank on their coach, Kim Mulkey.

Following the popular trend “Just Give Me My Money” on TikTok, Johnson, Morrow, Shy Day-Wilson and Amani Bartlett took turns to say the catchphrase, which was followed by cheers from the rest. However, when it came to coach Mulkey's turn, the group stayed silent after she enthusiastically said:

“Just Give Me My Money.”

The coach immediately walked off but had a smile on her face the whole time. Here is the video posted by overtimewbb on Instagram:

Having failed to defend their 2023 national championship last year, the Tigers will go into the 2024-25 season with hopes of taking home another title. While they may not have Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith to help them, Flau'jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow are expected to take the lead.

LSU Tigers make some major additions to their roster and coaching staff

With Reese moving to the WNBA and Van Lith transferring to TCU, the roster had many openings. Coach Kim Mulkey made the best use of the transfer portal and added Shayeann Day-Wilson from Miami, Mjracle Sheppard from Mississippi State and Kailyn Gilbert from Arizona to the 2024-25 LSU squad.

In addition to these players, Arkansas transfer Jersey Wolfenbarger will finally return to court after sitting out last season.

Besides the roster, the coaching staff also went through a major change as the LSU Tigers welcomed alum Seimone Augustus as an assistant coach. During her time with the Tigers, Augustus averaged 19.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals while shooting 54.4% from the field. She is a two-time AP and Naismith Player of the Year and Wooden Award winner.

In 2023, Augustus became the only LSU female athlete to be honored with a statue outside Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The Baton Rouge native was selected No. 1 by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2006 WNBA draft and went on to win four championships with the team.

Seimone Augustus' No. 33 jersey was first retired by the Tigers in 2010. After her retirement in 2020, the Lynx also retired her jersey in 2022.

With her now joining the coaching staff, the Tigers are further strengthened as she brings her expertise and experience as a WNBA player, helping players whose ultimate dream is to enter the league.
