Last-Tear Poa is changing up her look as she posted a video of her dramatic hair change on Instagram on Sunday. The guard traded her blonde highlights for bright red and shared the result with the caption:

"Mmmhmmm."

After one season at JUCO, Poa transferred to LSU in 2022 and won the 2023 NCAA championship with Angel Reese and Flau'jae Johnson. She averaged 3.4 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists. The guard talked about the championship run during her appearance on Johnson's "Best of Both Worlds" podcast.

"I think it was great just being in that team because we were all dawgs," Poa said. "And, I think, because we had a chip on our shoulder, we came out, like, you know, ready for everything.
"I think, just winning it overall, it was proving everyone wrong, 'cause I think we were like, ranked 26, right? And, I think just proving everyone wrong was the best feeling and celebrating everything that people thought of us. So, it was great."

Now in her final college season, Last-Tear Poa is averaging 2.3 points, 0.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

Last-Tear Poa is paving the way for future international college athletes

Like many international student-athletes, Last-Tear Poa has been unable to tap into the name, image and likeness space because of immigration laws. Therefore, the guard sued the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services in October.

She explained the reason behind this move on Johnson's podcast.

"I did it because, like my platform, it's not easy to get it (the NIL deals as an international player)," Poa said. "I think it'll be a great opportunity for people behind me that's coming up to earn the money they worked hard for.
"I'm like on the other side of the world, but (the NIL will) be a great opportunity to earn pretty much get the money that we deserve. Because you know, like Georgia Amoore, she's in Kentucky, and she's pretty much done most of the things I've done, but like we can't earn anything."

Last-Tear Poa is in the U.S. on an F-1 student visa, which prohibits her from making an income while studying. To do that, she needs a P-1A athlete visa, but that is only given to professional athletes or amateurs who participate in internationally recognized sporting events.

If Poa wins her case, it could drastically change the lives of many international students living and studying in America.
