On May 10, Flau'jae Johnson's mother, Kia Brooks, and stepfather, Ameen Brooks, welcomed their new son, Aythan Amir, into the world. Since then, Johnson's newborn brother, who is now seven months old, has become a centerpiece of her parents' activity on social media, as they opened an Instagram account for him.

During her college basketball career at LSU, Johnson has formed a special bond with Australian hooper Last-Tear Poa. Both guards signed for the Tigers in 2022, with Johnson joining as a freshman and Poa coming in as the top-rated JUCO transfer in the nation. They enjoyed immense success together, helping the Tigers win its first-ever national championship in their debut season at Baton Rouge.

In more recent times, Poa has spent some time not just with Flau'jae Johnson, but also with her family. Earlier today, she took to Instagram to share an adorable moment she shared with Johnson's newborn brother, Aythan Amir, to celebrate Christmas.

Poa uploaded a short clip of her celebrations as a story on Instagram, holding the seven-month-old child in her arms, and added Ariana Grande's 'Santa Tell Me' to give her story a more festive feel.

This week, Poa became the latest guest on Johnson's weekly podcast, 'Best of Both Worlds.' When quizzed about her feelings on the Tigers' magical run to the national championship in 2023, Poa revealed how satisfying it was to prove people wrong.

"I think, just winning it overall, it was proving everyone wrong, 'cuz I think, we were like, ranked 26, right? And, I think just proving everyone wrong was the best feeling and celebrating everything that people thought of us. So, it was great," said Poa.

Like the two seasons before, Poa continues to be a key asset on the bench for LSU this season. So far, she has appeared in 11 of the Tigers' 14 games and started five of them. Across those games, she averaged 2.8 points, 0.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Meanwhile, Flau'jae Johnson has established herself as one of the key starters in Kim Mulkey's side. She has been influential in the Tigers' perfect 14-0 start to the season, averaging 20.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

The Tigers, who slipped to sixth in the latest update of the AP Top 25, will face Albany in their last game of 2024. The game will take place on December 29 at 2:00 PM ET.
