Flau’jae Johnson has been making the best of her offseason. The LSU guard and rapper dropped her debut EP, "Best of Both Worlds," on June 28, featuring songs with Lil Wayne, NLE Choppa and 2RARE.
Johnson attended the YouTube Music Leaders and Legends gala on Friday, where she wore a black satin dress and took over the red carpet. On Sunday, Flau’jae Johnson shared a video from the day, where she was in her car wearing a mini black dress and rapping along to her new song, "Damage."

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Flau’jae Johnson revealed the reason why she chose "Best of Both Worlds" for her album's title.
“This is me trying to show that I am the one that can do both," she said. "I just want to shut people up, like — boom, get it? This is the new norm, this is the new precedent. I do two things. I really have the best of both worlds: basketball and music.
“Basketball has made me have a certain discipline in my life that helps me demolish the music side. It’s taught me that you work at something every day, you put the hours in, you just fall in love with the process.”
Flau’jae Johnson stuns at the BET Awards show red carpet
Flau’jae Johnson joined other athletes, musicians, actors and entertainment personalities for the BET Awards on Sunday evening. Johnson opted for an olive green artistic-looking dress while keeping her accessories and makeup to a minimum.
Flau’jae Johnson also participated in her first BET Culture class. She shared her excitement at being a part of the event.
"I love our culture," Johnson said. "I love the fact that we influence so many other people. It's your girl Flau'jae, and I am excited to be a part of the first-ever BET Culture Class. It's amazing because I've been working, doing music and basketball.
"What I look forward to most in the BET Awards is the lifetime achievement, I love when they celebrate black moguls in the industry, give them their flowers."
While managing her music career, Flau’jae Johnson is also preparing for her upcoming season with the LSU Tigers.
