Take a look at the Instagram reel posted on Friday:
The Global Head of PUMA Basketball, Max Staiger, said:
“Since the start we’ve always tried to tell the story of basketball through the lens of the player, seeing the game the way they do, both on the court and off the court. This approach has allowed us to connect those unique viewpoints with disruptive product and storytelling - impactful to anyone around the game.
“This Campaign, for the first time, brings together our complete narrative showcasing how Stewie, Melo, Flau’Jae, Scoot, and Tyrese embody the PUMA Hoops’ disruptive and inclusive spirit.”
PUMA is one of the brands that Johnson has signed with among her other deals with brands like Apple Cash, Tinder, JBL, etc.
Flau'jae Johnson opens up on her role in the upcoming college basketball
Flau'jae Johnson will return to the LSU Lady Tigers squad to help the team win the second national championship title. While she spent the off-season focusing on creating and relating hit songs, it's time for her to take on big responsibilities after Angel Reese's departure to the WNBA.
"Yeah, the spotlight will be on me,” she said. “But that’s why basketball is a team sport. Like I say, I’m on my team to be there. I have to lead them. I’m the captain. I have to lift them up. So it, for me, is just like learning how to just be inclusive.
"Like they say, the good players, they’re good, but the great players, they help bring people up with them. So like, that’s what I want to do, like have to build my team up because I want to do something special at LSU."
Johnson and the Lady Tigers have started practicing for the upcoming season and will face Eastern Kentucky next month.
She's expected to declare for the WNBA draft next year, with her mom wanting Atlanta Dreams or the Los Angeles Sparks to pick her. Flau'jae Johnson finished the 2023-24 season with 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
