Flau'jae Johnson, the LSU Tigers basketball star and rapper, brought school supplies to kids at her second annual Back 2 School Giveback Festival on Friday at Enmarket Arena. Amid the music and games, one lucky fan received a free TV from Johnson.
Johnson not only gave away TVs but also handed out 400 Puma backpacks, clothes, shoes and headphones to students from the Coastal Empire.
"It means a lot to me just to see the kids all having a good time and being happy," Flau'jae said [h/t Savannah Morning News]. "Sometimes parents are working so hard and still coming up short. So sometimes it's up to us to help these kids, especially when they are going back to school.
“I never had anything like this growing up, so holding this means a lot, and I want to make it bigger and bigger to help people out. It's all about the kids."
Reportedly, the event was sponsored by The Athlete's Foot, and the festival drew thousands. In April, Flau’jae Johnson signed an NIL deal to be the brand ambassador for The Athlete's Foot.
