The Cavinder Twins, Haley and Hanna Cavinder, are two of the most popular athletes in women's college basketball today. While they have shone on the court during their college basketball careers, they have excelled just as much, if not more, off it, amassing a massive following on social media.
Earlier this week, the twins travelled to Hawaii, where the Miami women's basketball team will take part in the Maui Classic. It seems Haley and Hanna Cavinder have settled into the tropics quickly, as they treated their fans with a new TikTok video from 'The Rainbow State'.
In the 15-second video, the twins, who have over 4.5 million followers on TikTok, donned stylish two-pieces and danced to the tune of M.I.A.'s 'Paper Planes' in their hotel room. Their video has garnered immense attention from their followers in quick time, gaining over 16,000 likes in just 24 hours.
The Cavinder twins have been quite active on TikTok during their trip to Hawai'i. Across the last few days, they have posted multiple videos on the social media platform, including one where they enjoyed scenic views of the ocean.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder make emphatic returns to college basketball
Haley and Hanna Cavinder retired from college basketball following the 2022-23 season, in which they helped the Miami Hurricanes record their best-ever finish in program history by reaching the Elite Eight.
Haley then announced her return by entering the transfer portal on Oct. 13, 2023, and committing to the TCU Horned Frogs exactly one year later to play out her final season of eligibility without her twin sister in 2024-25. This April, Hanna Cavinder chose to unretire and return to the Hurricanes for her final season of eligibility, prompting Haley to decommit to TCU and join her at Coral Gables.
The Cavinder twins have started all games they have appeared in for Miami, powering them to nine wins in their opening 10 games of the ongoing season. Haley has averaged an impressive 17.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists, while Hanna has averaged 8.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists.
The Hurricanes will take part in two games within the space of 24 hours in the Maui Classic. They will face the Nevada Wolf Pack on December 20 at 12:30AM ET and then play their last and final game of the tournament against the Oregon State Beavers on the same day at 11:00PM ET.
