AJ Dybantsa is preparing for his transition to college next year and he is now making official visits. On Wednesday, the forward was in Manhattan, Kansas on his visit to Kansas State. He was received with thunderous applause by Wildcats fans as they hope the No. 1 recruit will wear the royal purple and white in 2025.

Bleacher Report Hoops shared the video on Instagram and wrote:

"Kansas State showing No. 1 player in the country AJ Dybantsa mad love during his official visit🔥."

While some fans took this as a sign of AJ Dybantsa signing with the Wildcats, others were not convinced. Many still believed that the forward will pick BYU in the end. On3 predicts that the Cougars have a 20.3% chance of landing Dybantsa, while Kansas State is at 9.6%.

Meanwhile, the 2025 class top recruit has not revealed his favorites among his top seven. About Kansas State, he said (via ESPN):

"I talked with Jerome Tang. He told me his guys play with a lot of freedom, but it's also in a system that is geared toward winning. "

His father, Anicet "Ace" Dybantsa, also commented:

"Tang went to Istanbul, Turkey, to see A.J. I like the fact he understands AJsis a good decision-maker, an extension of the coaching staff. He will allow AJ to play to his strength. I have a good feel for people, and I trust Coach Tang."

AJ Dybantsa reveals his criteria before making the final decision

After reclassifying to the 2025 class, AJ Dybantsa kicked up a recruitment storm as teams vied for their chance to land him. Of the thirty schools that offered him a spot on their roster, the forward narrowed it down to seven. In an interview with ESPN, Dybantsa revealed his reasoning behind the choices.

"These are the pillars that will define my choice for a program," the forward said. "(It needs to be) family-oriented, a winning program, offer development both on the court and in their strength program, and for me to be one-and-done and ready to impact."

When he was asked about the role of NIL in his decisions, his father, Anicet Dybantsa, answered:

"It's a factor, but it's not the reason we are picking a school. We left out schools that have a lot of money. AJ will go where he feels he can have the most success on the court."

With official visits in the upcoming weeks, Dybantsa is expected to make his final choice in February.
