AJ Dybantsa, the top-ranked high school prospect in the nation, enjoyed a high-intensity football game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs during his official visit this Saturday.
Prior to the game at the Bryant-Denny Stadium, the young forward walked alongside Alabama men's basketball coach Nate Oats, 9th overall ranked prospect Meleek Thomas and 17th overall ranked prospect Darius Adams.
Dybantsa sported an all-black outfit with white shoes at Saban Field. It added a special touch to his official visit, as he took part in an official photoshoot sporting the Crimson Tide's classic white and red.
He got the opportunity to wear Alabama's custom-made ring from their last season's SEC Tournament alongside Oats and assistant coach Preston Murphy.
He also shared a special moment with his parents, father Anicet 'Ace' Dybantsa Sr. and mother, during the photoshoot.
AJ Dybantsa includes Alabama to his top 7 list
As the top-ranked high school prospect, it is quite natural for Dybantsa to receive offers from colleges across the country. Last month, the 6'9" small forward narrowed his list down to seven, with Alabama being one of them.
His official visit to the Crimson Tide this past weekend is the fourth in a series of visits which started five weeks ago at the Kansas State Wildcats. During that period, he also made official visits to the Kansas Jayhawks and the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Dybantsa's next official visit will see him travel to the Baylor Bears on October 4 and the BYU Cougars on October 11. Prior to this, the Utah Prep Academy star also made an official visit to the Auburn Tigers, which he listed as his top preference, on March 2.
With the early signing period for the Class of 2025 set from November 13-20, 2024, Dybantsa will be keen to have sufficient time to evaluate all his options before making the best decision.
