South Carolina star Tessa Johnson is certainly enjoying life in Columbia these days. Besides impressing on the court for the Gamecocks in her sophomore season, she is also garnering a massive fan following off it with her videos on TikTok.
Johnson shared her final TikTok video of 2024 on New Year's Eve, entertaining over 40,000 of her avid followers on the social media platform. In the 15-second video, Johnson donned a black crop top and red-and-black chequered pyjamas, and danced to the tune of Tyla's latest hit single, 'Push 2 Start', which was released on October 11, 2024.
After bringing out her best dance moves, Johnson panned the camera to her boyfriend, Zachary Davis, who represents South Carolina's men's basketball team. The 6'7" guard looked bemused by Johnson's dance moves, sitting by the shower as Johnson gave a smile to end the video, which has garnered over 5,500 likes so far.
While Johnson and Davis have been quiet on Instagram about their relationship, they have been more active on TikTok. They often feature in videos on each other's profiles, showing off their romantic sides through short dance videos and using trending music to sum up their emotions.
Zachary Davis is a year senior to his girlfriend, Tessa Johnson. Last season, he was one of the best defenders for South Carolina's men's basketball team, helping the Gamecocks make the first round of March Madness. He started 17 of the 33 games he appeared in, and averaged 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds.
This season is arguably one of Davis' strongest in his college basketball career. Although he has made just one start in 14 games so far, he has averaged 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists, helping the Gamecocks win 10 of those games.
