UCLA Bruins' KiKi Rice recently shared glimpses of her day as a student athlete. On Thursday, the program posted an excerpt on Instagram, that showed Rice's kick-off at 7.15 am. After a quick breakfast and treatment with weights and fitness training at 8.30 am, the guard begins her first workout of the day at 10:30 am.
KiKi Rice then heads to class at 2 pm followed by a second workout at 3.30 pm and finishes off with a dinner at 6 pm.
While this may be the end of the day shown in the video, Bruins' assistant coach Tasha Brown revealed the additional schedule in Rice's day.
"Where’s the 3rd workout of her sneaking back in after hours?" she commented.
In her sophomore season with the Bruins, KiKi Rice averaged 13.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.4 steals. She led UCLA to a No. 2 seed in March Madness and they advanced until Sweet 16. Rice was also a part of ESPN's "Full Court Press" docuseries.

KiKi Rice joins Dawn Staley and Alex Morgan for Nike's Athlete Think Tank
On June 7, Nike announced the third cohort of its Athlete Think Tank. It included ten players and for the first time, four coaches.
Some of the players besides KiKi Rice were soccer player Alex Morgan, two-time Olympic medal gymnast Laurie Hernandez, 17x Paralympic medalist Oksana Masters and Olympic track champion Yulimar Rojas.
The four coaches selected were South Carolina coach Dawn Staley, US women's national soccer team coach Emma Hayes, Chinese women's national volleyball coach Jenny Lang Ping and BYU's cross country coach Diljeet Taylor.
The Athlete Think Tank was created by Nike in 2021 with the aim of expanding and bringing change to women's sports through interactions with representatives from each game.
"Nothing is more powerful than the voice of the athlete. Nike Athlete Think Tank is made up of elite women athletes from around the world. Together, we are working to turn their vision for a more equitable future of sport into a reality," the brand said in a statement.
KiKi Rice also shared her excitement for being included in an elite company of top coaches and prominent athletes. She wrote:
"I’m thrilled to have joined Athlete Think Tank in its third cohort! Being part of the Athlete Think Tank collective has given me the opportunity to grow and connect with an amazing community of athletes and coaches.
"Together, we are making strides to expand sport for the next generation of girls. @nike @jumpman23 #NikeAthleteThinkTank"
