UConn Huskies star Paige Bueckers has been enjoying the offseason despite the academics already kicking off on Aug. 26 at the University of Connecticut. Just a couple of days ago, she was in New York, attending various events. In one of those events, Bueckers appeared for an interview with GQ Sports.

The reporter asked Bueckers about her craziest fan experience, to which the projected top pick of the 2025 WNBA draft replied:

"A couple times I've had people say that they were married to me and had the wedding. So I would probably say the fact that we're married, I guess."

Last week, Bueckers attended New York Fashion Week, the U.S. Open and a New York Liberty basketball game. Her teammate Azzi Fudd joined her in her workout with NBA players, including Steph Curry and Jaylen Brown.

Paige Bueckers reveals her guilty pleasure: "Not doing my homework"

The Huskies guard is attending classes but is also making time for other things. Lifestyle and fashion brand Highsnobiety asked Bueckers what her guilty pleasure is.

"Ha, not doing my homework," she said. "Nah, I'm kidding. I mean, everybody's been saying, 'Why aren't you in school?' I've been doing my schoolwork, too, but I'm traveling as well," Bueckers said.
"So I don't feel guilty about it. But, I mean, I guess people are trying to make me feel guilty about, like, still being on the world tour while school started, but I'm chilling, I'm good. I graduated, too. So remember that."

At the University of Connecticut, the new semester started on Aug. 26. After attending the first week of classes, Bueckers and the rest of the Huskies spent the Sunday afternoon in Uncasville, where they attended the WNBA game between the Seattle Storm and Connecticut Sun.

While this all seems fun, Bueckers have an important year to look forward to. After joining UConn in 2020, injuries derailed her campaign until last season. She led the Huskies to the NCAA tournament Final Four, where her team lost to the Caitlin Clark-led Iowa Hawkeyes.

Under coach Geno Auriemma, the Huskies have begun preseason training. The exhibition game against Fort Hays State is scheduled for Nov. 3.
