UConn star Paige Bueckers teamed up with Nike for a new commercial. On Tuesday, Nike Sports Wear released a video on Instagram showing Bueckers among other athletes sporting the brand's new collections.
"Rooted in running, remastered for style. For athletes on the move who never compromise. Feat. @paigebueckers in Vomero 5," the caption read.
Here's the video:
The 6-foot senior guard wore a pink crop upper that matched her hair color. Also, she's seen riding an electric scooter while wearing an all-black outfit and takes off her puffer vest, showing a pink sports bra underneath.
However, the major highlight is the Nike Vomera 5 sneakers she wore in the ad. The iconic shoe has been revamped with a sleek and modern design.
The commercial also featured different athletes, including American track runner Tonea Marshall, NBA star Jarred Vanderbilt and English soccer player Leah Williamson, all sporting the brand's latest offerings.
Paige Bueckers signed a long-term deal with Nike in September last year. She joined other famous athletes like LeBron James, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kevin Durant endorsed by the brand.
"I am blessed and honored to announce my partnership with Nike," Paige said after the agreement. "Joining the Nike family is a childhood dream come true. I can't wait to see what we accomplish together on and off the court."
Paige Bueckers shows a glimpse of basketball magic at SFMOMA
Paige Bueckers, a two time Big East player, collaborated with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) for a big exhibition.
The event scheduled for Oct. 19 focuses on the theme of how sports influence modern culture today.
"I've always said that I think basketball is another form of art, just the way people move, the way they're creative," Paige said.
"Basketball is expression, through creativity and instinct - finding different ways to get the ball in the basket, so it was a blessing and honor to help invite people to experience an exhibition at SFMOMA that celebrates the intersection of art and sport."
Paige Bueckers also shared a promotional video on TikTok for the exhibition where she displayed her dribbling skills inside the museum.
The SFMOMA exhibition will also honor the accomplishments and influence of famous athletes like Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan and Venus Williams.
Paige Bueckers will enter her final college basketball season with the Huskies. According to ESPN's initial mock draft, she's projected to be the top pick in next year's WNBA draft.
