UConn Huskies star Paige Bueckers is a well-liked personality by her fans on social media. The Naismith Player of the Year uploaded a TikTok video, hopping on the trend where athletes show themselves in their basketball jerseys and then their hooping prowess. But Bueckers put a unique twist to the video.
Instead of showing her basketball skills, she showed her blooper footage, thus, making for a hilarious viewing.
Despite her bloopers, fans know that Paige Bueckers is a force to reckon with and will be a powerful talent in the upcoming season of women's basketball.
Paige Bueckers addresses her future with the Golden State Valkyrie
Paige Bueckers, slated to be a top prospect for the 2025 WNBA draft, has sparked speculation that she wants to play for the Golden State Valkyries. There have been several instances where she posted pictures of herself in lavender-purple outfits.
She also called the company's colorway "the prettiest ever." Additionally, she also posed for a Gatorade photoshoot where hints of purple sweats were edited on her face.
When the UConn star attended the WNBA All-Star weekend, she was a guest on a live recording of "A Touch More." Before the live recording, she attended an event co-hosted by Valkyrie and was asked by SFGATE if she had read anything about fan theories.
Bueckers dismissed the notion of the Valkyrie being her potential destination, labeling it as a "cool" coincidence, saying:
“Lavender purple was always my favorite color. Obviously, the Valkyries latched on to that color too. It just happened to be that way. It’s funny to see everybody trying to manifest me going there. It’s all love though. It’s really funny. I laugh at a lot of it. It’s really cool.”
Paige Bueckers returns to the women's college basketball scene and is considered the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft. This year, the UConn Huskies will have a squad that is healthy and aiming to do what they could not do last year: win a national championship title.
