Besides her on-court skills and off-court charisma, Paige Bueckers is most associated with her platinum blond hair. However, she recently made a huge change to the color as she dyed it pinkish-red. At the time, Bueckers did not reveal the reason behind this change, we now know that it is for her endorsement deal with Madison Reed, a haircare brand.

Paige Bueckers documented the process for fans and shared it on Instagram. The UConn guard participated in a campaign for the brand's ColorWonder line, a demipermanent hair dye.

Speaking on her partnership with Madison Reed, Paige Bueckers said (via WWD):

“I’m huge on expressing myself in different ways. Being able to inspire the next generation of athletes and younger kids to be confident in expressing themselves in different ways, and not have to fit into a box — those are values I share with Madison Reed.”

The brand was founded by Amy Errett, an alum of the University of Connecticut. With this endorsement, the brand is also set to sponsor the Gampel Pavilion and XL Center for the next three years. This makes Madison Reed the first grad-founded and female-founded brand with court naming rights at UConn.

Azzi Fudd is also joining Paige Bueckers as an ambassador and impact adviser. Two other Huskies players, Ice Brady and Morgan Cheli, will front the latest launch.

Paige Bueckers is ready to get aggressive as she prepares for her final college season

Paige Bueckers' time at UConn was interrupted by an ACL tear injury which kept her off the court for more than a year. She made a healthy return for the 2023-24 season and led the UConn Huskies to the Final Four.

Now, as she is preparing for her final college season, Bueckers is ready to give it her all. In an interview with the media in June, she said (via The Athletic):

“There’s a much larger sense of urgency. This is my last year to get what I came here for, which is a national championship. … No more Passive Paige.
“I love to score. I’ve always felt like I’m a pass-first player. I love to get my teammates involved. I love to make sure everybody’s happy,” Bueckers added. “But at the end of the day, everyone is happy when we win, and I think we have a better chance of winning when I’m aggressive.”

She also revealed that she has made the best use of her first healthy offseason to train hard for the upcoming season.
