With the impending conference move, the USC Trojans' Galen Center received a new set of flooring. Maintaining the official school colors, USC Cardinal and USC Gold, the floor has incorporated the Big Ten Conference's logo near the post.

The official Trojans athletics X handle shared a video of the process on Monday with the caption:

"Laying a new foundation for @USCWBB and @USC_Hoops ✌️"

The Galen Center received an uplift earlier in 2024, including renovations of the tunnel through which Trojans athletes walk to and from the locker room and court.

Thirty-three banners have been added to the center court, representing the 14 national championships, along with more conference titles and NCAA tournament appearances that the four USC sports playing at Galen Center have achieved.

The USC Trojans move to the Big Ten Conference was announced in 2022. USC President Carol L. Folt said in a statement:

"With the Big Ten, we are joining a storied conference that shares our commitment to academic excellence and athletic competitiveness, and we are positioning USC and our student-athletes for long-term success and stability amidst the rapidly evolving sports media and collegiate athletics landscapes. We are delighted to begin this new chapter in 2024."

Along with the USC Trojans, UCLA Bruins, Oregon Ducks and the Washington Huskies are set to start playing for the Big Ten from Aug. 2, 2024. With that, the Pac-12 conference is down to two teams: the Oregon State Beavers and the Washington State Cougars.

The Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Devils, Colorado Buffaloes and the Utah Utes are heading to the Big 12. The California Golden Bears and the Stanford Cardinals will be playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Will the big move help the USC Trojans win the National championship?

Yes and no. The move to the Big Ten could help ease the regular season wins for the USC Trojans. That's because, in Pac-12, the Trojans played games on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. It meant that players didn't have time to properly rest and prepare themselves for games.

However, these scheduling issues don't exist in the Big Ten. Moreover, USC's biggest rivals in Pac-12 were Stanford, Utah and Colorado. With these teams moving to the Big 12, the competitiveness is down, with their only big oppositions now being Ohio State and Iowa State.

Moreover, the USC Trojans have a fired-up JuJu Watkins looking to avenge last season's Elite Eight loss and the No. 1 recruiting class in the league. All these reasons could help the Trojans win the NCAA championship.
