South Carolina Gamecocks basketball star Bree Hall put up a stellar performance as the second-ranked Gamecocks routed the 13th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners 101-60 on Sunday. Hall posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) showing her somersaulting with an Oklahoma player as they hustled for the ball in the third quarter of the game, on Tuesday, Jan 20.

"I still can’t get over that WWE somersault I did on the court over a jump ball LMAOOOO," she wrote. "Ok I’m going back off this app."

Fans took to the comment section to praise her for her performance while showing concern for her wellbeing.

"Way to hustle, but please don't get hurt. We need you Breezy," a fan wrote.
"Listen Sis I was about to run down there cause that pissed me off! But I saw you smiling and she looked like she wanted to cry," another fan wrote.
"I'm so glad that you didn't get hurt! My nerves got bad," a fan commented .
"Girl, you went hard, as you should. Happy you didn't get hurt and we got the dub. Carry on!" another fan commented.

Hall finished the game with nine points, three rebounds, and one assist, to help the Gamecocks to 18-1 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the SEC.

Bree Hall reveals how she "overthinks" when she wants something

South Carolina made a slow start to the 2024-25 season. In the first three games, the Gamecocks trailed 7-0 behind Michigan, 25-21 in the second quarter to NC State, and 16-13 behind Coppin State.

Head coach, Dawn Staley identified the trio of Bree Hall, Raven Johnson, and Sania Feagin who struggled early in the season, getting into foul trouble and constantly missing shots.

Hall admitted that she had some conversations with the coach that led to tears. She also revealed how she tended to overthink things whenever she strongly wanted something.

“Me and Coach and some of the other coaches had some conversations where I was very tearful just because I know what I want,” Hall said per On3 on Nov. 18. “When I want something, I’m going to pursue it as much as I can, but sometimes I overthink and pursue it a little bit too much, where I start stressing myself out, doubting myself. I feel like today, I didn’t go out there overthinking. I’m taking this game for one game and not overthinking like I typically do.”

The Gamecock senior found her groove in the 94-44 win over East Carolina on Nov. 14, where she recorded 10 points on 3-6 shooting and 2-4 from three. Hall continues to be a key player for South Carolina, despite averaging 6.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on 38.7 percent shooting per game this season.
