“We got mad love”: UConn star Paige Bueckers and teammate Azzi Fudd gush over Usher’s Brooklyn concert

UConn senior Paige Bueckers visited New York last week where she attended Usher's concert at Barclays Center. She was accompanied by her teammate Azzi Fudd as the two were seemingly enamored by the Grammy-winning R&B singer's performance.

Barclays Center had a brief interview with Huskies stars backstage at the concert, which they shared on Tuesday on social media. When asked about the show? both Bueckers and Fudd raved about it.

"Yeah, I mean all of it (songs) was pretty incredible. He's Usher," Azzi said. "My mom loved it when he took his shirt off, so that was a nice moment for me to watch.

"He played most of all the classics ... amazing show," Paige said. "Usher is an all time great, we got made love for Usher."

Bueckers also posted a clip from the lively concert with the popular R&B singer performing on stage.

She mentioned Usher in her Instagram story with three smiling faces and heart-eyes emojis. He was performing in Brooklyn as a part of his concert tour titled "Past Present Future."

A few days before the concert, Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd were seen practicing at the NBPA training center in New York alongside NBA stars Steph Curry and Jaylen Brown.

Paige: "I love a good bagel, I'm not gonna lie. No Pizza.

Azzi: Pizza, for sure pizza.

Paige: [stomps] 'Grey's Anatomy' for sure. I mean I love both. It's impossible.

Azzi: 'Scandal'. 100%.

Question 3: Book or movie adaptation?

Paige: Book.

Azzi: Book, no question.

Paige: Softcover is easier to pack, I would say softcover.

Azzi: I agree. Soft is easier on the go but hard is more satisfying.

Paige: Game-winning three

Azzi: A block would be cool pretty cool but unrealistic for me.

Paige: Inside probably.

Azzi: Outside.

Going into the new season, Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd will be two key players for Geno Auriemma’s UConn Huskies. Bueckers will play her final college season before heading to the WNBA.
