The Cavinder Twins, Haley and Hanna Cavinder, have amassed a massive fan following on TikTok through creative videos on a regular basis. On Tuesday, they used some time during a practice session to entertain their 4.5 million followers on the social media platform with their dance moves.
In the 11-second video, Hanna hung upside-down off Haley, and the Cavinder Twins attempted to do the bottom slap upside down dance. They captioned their latest TikTok video, "we tried," and try they did for about eight seconds before Hanna looked to dismount off her twin sister toward the end of the video.
The video has already garnered nearly 3,000 likes in the space of five hours, which is a testament to their immense popularity on TikTok.
The Cavinder Twins seemed to have made a habit of making TikTok videos in the time they can spare during practice sessions. While a fair few of them have been about their dancing skills in the last week alone, they also shared a six-second video to address their critics, who believe they are not good at basketball.
The Cavinder Twins enjoy strong return to college basketball
The Cavinder Twins announced their retirement from college basketball after a successful 2022-23 season in which the Hurricanes recorded their best-ever finish by making the Elite Eight.
While Haley Cavinder returned in December 2023 by committing to TCU, she decommitted from the Horned Frogs after Hanna Cavinder announced her return to Miami in April, which drew Haley to Coral Gables to play out her final season of eligibility with her twin sister.
The twins have made a strong comeback this season, seamlessly slotting into the starting five of Miami's women's basketball team. Haley has averaged an impressive 17.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists, while Hanna has averaged 7.7 ppg, 2.8 rpg and 3.9 apg.
While the Hurricanes have won 11 of their 15 games, they have struggled against opponents in the Atlantic Coast Conference, with their conference record reading 1-3. After losing their last three games, all in conference play, they will be eager to record their first win of 2025 on Sunday, when they visit the Syracuse Orange at 6 p.m. ET.
