Kiyan Anthony is one of the standout basketball players in the class of 2025. Known for his aggressiveness on the court, the young player has led his high school team, Long Island Lutheran, and his father, NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony's AAU Team Melo, to many victories.

As the son of a former NBA player and TV personality mom, La La Anthony, Kiyan is used to enjoying certain luxuries. Those include his collection of designer shoes.

During a tour of the Anthony household with Ballislife, which was posted on YouTube in 2021, Kiyan showed off his "crazy shoes" collection in his bedroom, including the Jordans, Spike Lee, Kyries Sixes (which he hilariously hid from the camera), Kobes (his favorite), and the Grinch.

Speaking about the Jordans, Kiyan Anthony said he couldn't wear those shoes without getting crease or mud on them. So, he asked his mom for a pair almost every month.

"I'll be wearing these (Jordans) out, so they'll be crease like mud on them, everything," to which the interviewer asks, "oh you can't wear no Jordans with a crease in them?" (5:00 - 5:05)
"No," Kiyan replied, "I'll be like they were getting creased. I put the towel, iron it, the crease come out. But yeah, they be getting dirty. So I ask my mom for a new pair almost every month." (5:06 - 5: 17)

However, being the son of an NBA All-Star also meant Kiyan Anthony was expected to attend his dad's games even when the timing was inconvenient. On the way to joining his dad for a workout, his mom told him he would go to his dad's pre-season games in the new season. But he said he could not go because he would be in school by then.

"Oh you gotta go to your dad's first game," La La Anthony told him, adding, "That's a big moment for your dad."

But Kiyan Anthony said it would cost him a five-hour flight for the day, and he had practice that he could not miss. La La insisted that they would figure something out, but he had to be there because people would be going crazy for LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and his dad being on the same team (Los Angeles Lakers).

Carmelo reacts to his son, Kiyan Anthony's basketball skills

Kiyan Anthony began playing basketball at the age of seven. His dad, Carmelo, has been involved in his training from the beginning. During the tour with Ballislife, Carmelo revealed what he thought about his son's skills on the court.

"I was hoping that my son came out as a ball player. But, I mean seeing it then and seeing it now, it's just totally two different perspectives. Now it's more like now I really could give it, you know, give it to him," he said.
"Now I can really teach him the way that I want to teach him because he understands it."

Kiyan Anthony is currently committed to his dad's alma mater, the Syracuse Orange, where his dad won their last national championship in 2003.
