Aaron Estrada is one of the prospects for the 2024 draft who is looking to earn his way to the big league. The 23-year-old guard has fulfilled his college eligibility by playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide in his final season.

Estrada played high school basketball in New Jersey. He made heads turn when he scored the game-winning free throws to clinch the St. Benedict's prep school's first-ever Group 1 state title. However, it was only after he was featured in Stephen Curry-narrated basketball docu-series Bennedict Men that he received fame.

How was Aaron Estrada's college career?

Estrada began his collegiate stint with Saint Peter's Peacock which he chose over three other programs. He saw nearly 19 minutes of court time as a rookie and averaged 8.1 points and 2.5 rebounds on 40.5% field goal efficiency.

Estrada then chose to transfer to Oregon Ducks for his sophomore year, however, the season was cut short due to the pandemic.

From there onwards, Aaron Estrada committed to mid-major level Hofstra Pride for two years and saw the most significant development in his production. He recorded his collegiate career-best free throw percentage, rebounds and assists during the initial season and put his scoring efficiency on display in the second.

Aaron Estrada received CAA honors of the Best Player of the Conference award for both years. He played a major part in upsetting the top-seeded Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the first round of the 2023 National Invitational Tournament.

Nevertheless, Estrada opted to hit the portal and commit to Nate Oats' squad for his final season. The coach's attention to detail, film study and analytical impact attracted the 6-foot-3 guard.

He was the oldest player on a roster that had five freshmen and led Alabama to its first-ever Final Four appearance. He declared for the 2024 draft on April 16 and got an invitation from the G-League Elite Camp weeks later.

Minnesota Timberwolves have invited Aaron Estrada for a second pre-draft workout

Estrada was part of the talent pool that worked out with the Minnesota Timberwolves early on May 9, days before the G-League camp in Chicago. Now, as the draft night nears, the Timberwolves have invited the former Alabama guard for another workout.

In July alone, Aaron Estrada has showcased before more than 10 NBA teams, including the San Antonio Spurs and the Sacramento Kings. These workouts are a testament to Estrada's grit and drive as he failed to get an invitation for the NBA combine in May.
