Aneesah Morrow continues to string multi-dimensional performances for the LSU Tigers. The 6-foot guard is coming off a 23 points and 15 rebounds effort in an 83–77 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores on Monday. After the game, Morrow highlighted the key factors that motivate her to bring her best to the scrimmages and games.

Having sustained multiple knee injuries in high school, Morrow believes in playing each game like it's her last due to the uncertainty involved in basketball. ESPNW posted the guard's interview clip on its Instagram handle.

Kim Mulkey's strategy to utilize Aneesah Morrow

Aneesah Morrow came to LSU in 2023, after spending her first two college years at DePaul. In the postgame conference on Monday, Tigers coach Kim Mulkey discussed Morrow's rebounding skills with the Blue Demons, who focused heavily on operating outside the paint.

It piqued Mulkey's curiosity about how the guard would do when her skillset is used near the basket.

"That's what she did at DePaul, was just shoot three ball after three ball after three ball and then you'd watch her stats and she'd get rebounds," Mulkey said (8:34). "So I'm thinking, 'Gosh if she's closer to that rim, she probably could get some serious rebounds.' Because she just can leap out of the gym."

Morrow leads the NCAA women's basketball in rebounds per game (14.4 rebounds per game). She is three rebounds shy of becoming the first player this season to garner 100 offensive boards.

Moreover, Morrow also leads in double-doubles (17 in 19 games). Coppin State's Laila Lawrence is ranked second with 11 double-doubles in 20 contests.
