Iowa senior guard, Kylie Feuerbach, pulled a hilarious prank on her teammate, Jada Gyamfi, and uploaded the video on her TikTok account. Many fans interacted with the post and found it hilarious. But it was former Hawkeyes star Kate Martin's funny reaction to the video that caught the eye.
Feuerbach waited outside the Hawkeyes' meeting room at 7:30 am and patiently waited for her friend to exit the room. She then caught Jada off guard, who screamed in fear.
Kate Martin saw the video and could not stop reacting to it, thus, she posted a comment that read:
"The walk off like that was a normal & acceptable reaction is killing me."
Jada left comments of her own.
"Literally at 7am…"
Iowa's other player, Sydney Affolter also commented on the post. She said:
"😭😭😭woke her right up."
Even though Kate Martin is no longer a part of the Iowa Hawkeyes squad, she is still closely connected with the team.
The Las Vegas Aces rookie was seen inspiring the team on Wednesday as she passionately spoke to the players about making sacrifices and making their play better. She said:
"Why not show up every single day and work your a** off?"
Kylie Feuerbach plans to step up in the upcoming women's basketball season
Now that Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall, and Caitlin Clark have taken the next steps in their respective careers, the responsibilities fall on senior players like Kylie Feuerbach. She averaged 14 minutes of game time last year and is looking to get a hold of the ball more than ever.
“I definitely want to do a lot more on the floor,” she said, as per Sports Illustrated. “I want to be scoring more, but right now I’m focused on the nit-picky things this summer. I can improve my game in a lot of different areas, especially offensively.”
“I’m getting my shots up, but there are some little things on that side of the floor that I can be working on.”
Feuerbach averaged only 2.6 points and shot 31% from the field last season. It was the lowest number she put up in her three years of college basketball. This is why she is hoping to see a change in her playing style.
