Bronny James was eventually drafted in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday night. He was selected by the LA Lakers with the 55th pick of the draft, teaming up with his father, LeBron James, at the storied franchise.

Deiondra Sanders, the first daughter of $45 million worth Deion Sanders, reacted to drafting amid criticism from fans. While giving props to Bronny's selection, she reinstated that legacies can't be written off.

“Bronny got drafted by the Lakers. I love to see it lol Y’all can’t tell me Legacies and last names don't matter.”

Nike congratulates Bronny James on getting drafted

After being drafted by the Lakers, the well wishes have started coming in for Bronny James. This is despite the large amount of criticism of his pick currently ongoing among fans.

Some moments after he was announced as the 55 overall pick, Nike sent a congratulatory message to the point guard in the form of a promotion. They placed an old and recent picture of Bronny together in a photo collage and added a tagline as a caption:

"Pressure was never a question...when passion has always been the answer," the tagline on the promotion reads.

Like his father, who is a lifetime athlete of Nike and already has his own sneakers line, Bronny has also been signed by the apparel brand. It was one of his major NIL deals as a college basketball player and the partnership is expected to continue as he steps into the NBA.
