It is likely the final year of UConn star Paige Bueckers' college career. And ahead of her farewell season, Bueckers' former teammates Aaliyah Edwards and Nika Muhl expressed their excitement for the two-time Big East Player of the Year.

On Sunday, Bueckers shared a set of photos on Instagram wearing the UConn uniform, as she posed for the college photoshoot.

"Oldhead year," Paige captioned referring to her senior season in Storrs.

Paige Bueckers comforts Nika Muhl after devastating ACL injury

UConn senior guard Paige Bueckers knows how it feels to suffer a season-ending injury. The 6-foot point guard tore her ACL at the start of her junior year at UConn which sidelined her for the entire season.

Bueckers' ex-teammate Nika Muhl's debut year in the professional ranks has not been as expected as she only played in 16 games in her rookie WNBA season, scoring just two points.

After the Seattle Storm exited from the playoffs, Muhl headed to Turkey to play for Besiktas JK. However, her misfortune continued as she suffered a devastating ACL injury in her first game at the FIBA Women's Super Cup.

Paige Bueckers reached out to Muhl to comfort her and shared a message of hope via X/Twitter.

"Nothing my twin can’t overcome. Gonna destroy this comeback journey! God speed🙏🏼🫶🏼," she tweeted.

After being named the Naismith Player of the Year as a freshman and becoming one of the most recognizable faces in women's basketball, Bueckers enters her final campaign intending to win the championship.

The Husky sensation is the projected top pick in next year's WNBA draft, per the initial mock draft by ESPN.
