Kylie Feuerbach is all ready for her fifth year in college with the Iowa Hawkeyes. After her freshman season with Iowa State, the guard transferred to the Hawkeyes in 2021. Feuerbach shared photographs from the media day on Instagram on Sunday and wrote:
"Media dayyyy year 5🤍 #Psalm115v1."
Many of Kylie Feuerbach's current and former teammates reacted to the photos, with Gabbie Marshall writing:
"You are so cutie."
"Miss you so much."
Feuerbach's time with the Hawkeyes has not gone quite to plan as she was sidelined for one season with a torn ACL. The last campaign saw her return to the court, and she averaged 2.6 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.
Kylie Feuerbach shared her goals for her final season with Iowa
Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall played a crucial role in the Iowa Hawkeyes' run to back-to-back NCAA championship games. While they did not win the title, the campaigns in themselves were historic and with the three graduating out, the void is now too big to fill.
Kylie Feuerbach is expected to take the leadership role in ensuring a similar run for the Hawkeyes and she seems ready for it, as per SI:
“I think that’s the most important thing right now is making sure we are making sure they’re on the same page as us, that they can all reach out to us if they have any questions,” Feuerbach said.
“For me, working hard and always kind of going hard is my way of having leadership. They can see how I’m doing it, and they can learn from that.”
With this being her final season in college, Feuerbach also has some personal goals she wants to fulfill. In an interview with the media during practice in July, the guard said:
“I definitely want to do a lot more on the floor, I want to be scoring more, but right now I’m focused on the nit-picky things this summer. I can improve my game in a lot of different areas, especially offensively. I’m getting my shots up, but there are some little things on that side of the floor that I can be working on.”
The Iowa Hawkeyes will be starting their 2024-25 season on Nov. 6 against Northern Illinois. Despite the loss of important seniors, the Hawkeyes are expected to put their best under the lead of new coach Jan Jensen.
