LSU guard Flau'jae Johnson teased her relationship with Tigers wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr on social media for some time before making it Instagram official for Christmas. The couple shared photos in matching holiday-themed pajamas on Wednesday.
Johnson and Hilton continued to share their activities on Thursday via her Instagram story, revealing their plan to cook together, with Johnson as the head chef and Hilton as the sous chef.
"He don't know how to cook ya'll," she reasoned.
“You don’t know how to cook either,” came the quick reply from Hilton.
While answering questions from fans on Snapchat, Flau'jae Johnson revealed that the two met at an NIL event and fell in love. The guard first teased her relationship status with a post for Halloween.
On her birthday, Johnson shared images of a supposed proposal featuring rose petals, candles, and a neon sign that read "Be My GF" on Instagram, which Hilton then reposted. The football player also commented on one of her photos, fueling speculation that has now been confirmed.
Flau'jae Johnson once revealed her ideal man
During an appearance on ‘The Baller Alert Show’ back in April, Flau'jae Johnson described her ideal man, and Chris Hilton Jr. fits the bill.
"I don't see myself dating a regular person. Can't date a NARP. 'Normal A** Regular Person,'" she said. "I'm attracted to athletes, cause I like builds.”
"You can't date no short boy. You gotta be a good person. Gotta be able to make me laugh, funny, a good heart. I don't need anybody like negative energy."
Amid changes in her personal life, Johnson is also making strides in her basketball career. The LSU Tigers entered their holiday break undefeated, thanks in part to Flau'jae Johnson's leadership. She is averaging 20.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
The Tigers ended last season with an Elite Eight exit but are aiming for a championship this year. They will return to action on Sunday, hosting the UAlbany Great Danes at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Johnson was part of the 2023 team that won the national championship. However, the guard has expressed her desire to lead her own team to a title victory.
