Duke Blue Devils swingman Cooper Flagg is one of the most highly-touted college basketball players right now. Hyped up as a generational talent from high school, the Newport, Maine native has translated that success into the collegiate scene, putting up note-worthy stats, making highlight reel plays, and leading the Jon Scheyer-coached squad to success.
As his stardom continues to grow, with his current NIL value being placed at $4.3 million per ON3, more and more renowned figures, both in and out of sports, are taking notice. This includes NFL legend Tom Brady.
On Friday, Jan. 17, it was announced that trading card company Topps has signed the 6'9 forward to an exclusive trading card, autograph and memorabilia deal. This prompted Brady to react on his Instagram story.
"Yessssss," Brady wrote while tagging the Instagram accounts of Flagg, Topps and content creator Fanatics.
Tom Brady retired from the NFL back in 2022, capping off his historic 22-year career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is considered by many football fans to be the GOAT of the sport, having won seven total Super Bowl championships while being named the MVP on five of those occasions.
Although it's been a couple of years since he retired, it seems as though Brady is still making his presence felt in the sports world — showing his support to young talent like Flagg. The freshman sensation is on his way to becoming a successful one-and-done for Duke. Being posted on Brady's Instagram account with 15.1 million followers and his deal with Topps will only help fuel his case.
