NCAA analyst Robin Lundberg gave Notre Dame point guard Olivia Miles credit for her major contributions in the 2024-25 women's college basketball season.

During his show, posted on YouTube on Sunday, Lundberg mentioned a tweet from WNBA draft analyst Hunter Cruse, who noted that Miles has buried 14 pull-up 3-pointers this season, one more than UConn superstar guard Paige Bueckers has connected in her last 53 games.

"So she's shooting it at a clip that makes you think that could translate to the next level." Lundberg, who has shows on CBS Sports Radio and Sports Illustrated, said. (2:50)

The college basketball analyst also pointed out the prospects of Miles being a lottery pick in the 2025 WNBA draft. Lundberg expects Miles' improved shooting could boost her draft ceiling and become the No. 2 pick in the annual showcase after possible top pick Bueckers.

"I think it raises her ceiling because that was the big concern with her is can she score and she doesn't have to be like an iso breakdown scorer but if she can hit that open shot that's going to be um revelatory for her her future professional career," the NCAA analyst opined. (2:58)

In 14 games, Miles is averaging 16.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game. The Fighting Irish point guard had her career-high in field goal percentage (55.8%) and 3-point rate (47.8%).

Robin Lundberg feels Olivia Miles' marksmanship separates her from other future lottery WNBA draft picks

NCAA analyst Robin Lundberg emphasized Olivia Miles' improved shooting this season, saying that it could separate her from other senior players who will apply for the 2025 WNBA draft in April.

Lundberg posted a video clip of the point guard knocking down a step-back 3. He pointed out Miles could be a great prospect if she shoots that way in the coming games.

The Los Angeles Sparks owns the No. 2 pick and could go for Miles and form an inside-outside combination with forward-center Cameron Brink once she fully recovers from her injury.

Miles has made 2.4 3-pointers a game, a career-high in four seasons with the Fighting Irish. It's a determined effort for the 5-foot-9 playmaker to help Notre Dame earn its first national title in seven years.

Olivia Miles also showed that she's healthy from an injury suffered in the 2022-23 season. The injury sidelined her for the remainder of the season and the 2023-24 campaign.
