Olivia Olson is a collegiate basketball player, playing for the Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten Conference. Olson's journey began at Benilde-St. Margaret's School. She made her varsity basketball debut in eighth grade by scoring 40 points. Throughout her high school career, she averaged 25.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game during her senior season, leading her team to a state championship title.

On September 8, 2022, Olson committed to play for the Michigan Wolverines under head coach Kim Barnes Arico. Olson's commitment was notable as she became the first top-40 player in the national class of 2024 to pledge to Michigan. She signed her National Letter of Intent on November 8, 2023, solidifying her future with the program. In her debut game on November 4, 2024, she faced off against the number-one ranked South Carolina Gamecocks. Despite the loss, Olson showcased her potential by earning All-Tournament honors at the Fort Myers Tip-Off shortly thereafter. She recorded her first NCAA double-double with a performance of 19 points and 11 rebounds against Belmont.
