Osasere Ighodaro is an American college basketball player. He was born in Arizona in the United States of America on July 14, 2002. He is presently 21 years old and played for Marquette University.

Ighodaro’s basketball journey began in high school when he was attending Desert Vista High School. From a young age, he excelled at the game of basketball averaging 10 points, 6 rebounds and over 2 blocks per game. At the end of his high school career, Ighodaro received multiple offers from top-tier programs such as Stanford, Vanderbilt and Texas. The 4-star recruit committed to play college basketball at Marquette University.

Ighodaro’s freshman year with the Golden Eagles was redshirted due to injury. He returned from injury in his second year of college and played every game in the season. He honed himself as a player, developing passing and ball-handling abilities under Coach Shaka Smart. His game improved drastically from a statistical standpoint and Ighodaro earned a spot on the All-Big East Conference Second Team. 2023-24 was his best season where he averaged 13.4 PPG, 6.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

Ighodaro has created a name for himself as a defensive powerhouse. Furthermore, he is known to be quick, agile, mobile and smart on the court making him a valuable contributor as a shot blocker and a defender at the perimeter. Offensively, Ighodaro has strong passing ability, creating opportunities for his teammates.
