Paige Bueckers started her collegiate basketball career with the UConn Huskies in the 2020/21 season. Despite suffering from an injury due to an ankle sprain, she soon returned and started showing her basketball skills to the fans. She is notable for being the first freshman to win the Naismith College Player of the Year in 2021.
Furthermore, after her freshman season, she was also declared the Big East Freshman of the Year, Big East Player of the Year as well as a member of the First Team All-Big East in 2021.
