UConn Huskies guard Paige Bueckers made history on Sunday in her team's 96-36 beatdown of the Seton Hall Pirates. She scored 18 points during their eighth straight Big East victory, which was more than enough to propel her past former program standout Maya Moore as the fastest Husky to ever reach 2,000 career points — doing so in just 102 games.

In what seems to be her fourth and final year of college hoops before declaring for the 2025 WNBA draft, Bueckers is going out strong with both the individual and team success she has had thus far. The Hopkins, Minnesota, native is yet to win a national title, though.

Basketball trainer Chris Brickley took to his Instagram page to share footage of the senior sensation working on her game.

"'Everybody sees the 2000 points. Nobody sees the 2000 days of hard work.' Fastest player in UConn History to score 2000 points! Thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey. Thankful! Keep pushing! Keep grinding!" the 38-year-old skills mentor captioned.

His caption is a direct nod to Bueckers' postgame interview with SNY where she gave her thoughts on achieving the milestone.

"I had a tough journey, but it's been a beautiful journey. I've seen so many people invest and do a lot for me. I just really want to reward their hard work because everybody sees the 2,000 points, but nobody sees the 2,000 days of hard work. So, it's just a testimony to everybody who's invested in me," she said.

Staying undefeated in conference play, Bueckers and the rest of the Huskies will now move on to the visiting Villanova Wildcats as their next matchup on Wednesday.

Besides discussing her historic achievement, Bueckers also shared what she learned about her teammates.

"Just our ability to respond to a challenge. Coach (Geno Auriemma) has been challenging us hard in practice to be better. I think our half-court offense had a lot of things to improve on. So, we worked on it the past couple of days. I think we had a lot to show for it tonight, just our ability to come out strong, play 40 minutes the right way, and how we wanted to is huge," she shared. (0:10)

In the quest for a potential first and only national championship, Bueckers will need to continue to provide steady veteran leadership in their pursuit to win it all come March.
