Raven Johnson is a player for the Southeastern Conference team, the South Carolina Gamecocks as of February 2025. The American college basketball player plays as a guard for the team and is in her junior year. Johnson attended Westlake High School where she managed to bag several honors including the Naismith Player of the Year and the WBCA Player of the Year in 2020, as per her college roster. She also achieved All-America (Naismith, WBCA, McDonald’s) that year. She is a two-time Atlanta Tipoff Club Miss Georgia Basketball which she won in 2020 and 2021 and won Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Player of the Year two times, in 2020 and 2021. In addition to these achievements, she grabbed a USA Today Georgia Player of the Year in 2021 during her high school career.

Johnson began her college basketball career with South Carolina where her name was enlisted in the All-SEC and NCAA Albany 1 Regional All-Tournament Team in 2024, and SEC All-Freshman Team in 2023. She was also honored with the SEC Academic Honor Roll thrice, in 2022, 2023 and 2024, as per her college roster. She made her college debut at NC State and played seven minutes as per her roster profile on the University website. Her freshman season was limited after she suffered a season-ending injury against South Dakota in November. The following season, she helped her side's perfect 16-0 record including a program-record 36 victories. Additionally, she led her side to a SEC Tournament title and a spot in the NCAA Final Four which was the third consecutive time for the Gamecocks. She again helped the team towards SEC Regular-Season and Tournament titles in the 2023-24 season where she started 35 of the 37 games she played. For her international side, she won a silver medal with Team USA at FIBA AmeriCup Team in 2023. She was also a member of the 2021 U19 World Cup Team trials and is a 2019 U16 National Team finalist, as per her college roster.
