Saylor Poffenbarger is a guard for the Maryland Terrapins and a redshirt junior as of the 2024-2025 season. Prior to the Terrapins, Saylor played for the UConn Huskies from 2020-2021 and the Arkansas Razorbacks from 2021-2024. Poffenbarger attended Middletown High School. During her time there, she won gold at the 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship. During that tournament, Poffenbarger averaged 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.

In 2020, Saylor Poffenbarger began her collegiate basketball career with the UConn Huskies. After a solitary season with the Huskies, Poffenbarger transferred to the Razorbacks and did not see game time during her first season with the team. During her redshirt freshman year in 2022-2023, she led the team in both rebounds and blocks during her freshman year. She concluded her season with four double-doubles, nine games with ten or more rebounds, five games with five or more assists, and thirteen games with ten or more points. Saylor Poffenbarger was named to the Arkansas All-SEC Freshman Team in 2023 and won SEC Freshman of the Week five times. In 2023–24, she started 30 games and set the Arkansas record for defensive rebounds with 225. She averaged 10.2 points per game and led the club in defensive rebounds and 11.2 rebounds per game.

Saylor finished her redshirt sophomore season with two 20-point games, nine double-doubles, 19 double-digit rebound games, and 14 double-figure scoring games. As a junior, she has already earned four double-doubles for Maryland and scored in double figures in six games, earning her a spot on the Cheryl Miller Award Watch List.
