Shay Holle is a guard for the Texas Longhorns basketball team and plays as a senior in the 2024-2025 season. Holle joined Texas in 2021 and appeared in 23 games as a freshman, averaging 1.1 points and 1.4 rebounds per game, with a season-high of seven points against Drake. As a sophomore, she played in 35 games, earning 14 starts. Holle registered her career-high 10 points twice against CSUN and Oklahoma and also recorded a season-high six rebounds in the Big 12 Championship game against Baylor. She started the final 12 games and played in all 36 as a junior, averaging 5.9 points per game. Holle scored eight double-digit and was also named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team. As a senior in the 2023-2024 season, she played in all 38 games, starting 26. She received All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and Big 12 All-Defensive Team recognition that season. Holle scored in double figures 13 times and recorded a career-high 22 points against Oklahoma.

Holle was named the Austin American-Statesman's All-Centex Player of the Year in 2020. Apart from Basketball, she also participated in track and field events.
