While he was in his junior year at St. James School Ball averaged 25.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. The player also played for Team Melo on the AAU circuit where he averaged 17.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and shot 57.0 percent overall for Nike Wolfeboro.

He also played several games at UConn’s 3-game foreign tour where he averaged 8.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and shooting .571 overall. In the 2023-24 season, Ball attended 39 games and averaged 3.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. He was BIG EAST Freshman of the Week and shot 38.5 percent from the floor and 31.9 percent from 3-point range. The player recorded a career-high 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor and 3-of-6 shooting from deep against North Carolina in the Jimmy V Classic. He also recorded in double figures against MVSU at Xavier. As of March 2025, Ball has averaged a career-high 14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 31 games for the Huskies (via ESPN).
