American professional basketball player Sonia Citron is a player for the Washington Mystics in the WNBA. She played for four years for Notre Dame Fighting Irish, a team that competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as a collegiate player. She is a shooting guard and won ACC Freshman of the Year in the 2021-22 season and is a six-time ACC Freshman of the Week, as per her college roster. As a freshman, she averaged 14.0 points on 13-of-26 shooting (.500) in addition to a 15-of-16 mark from the free-throw line in the NCAA Tournament. As a sophomore, she became the first player to record back-to-back 25+ point games since 2018. She won the ACC Tournament as a junior in the 2023-24 season.

Citron played 26 games and started all of them and became the ninth Irish junior player in the history of the program to score 46 3-pointers, as per her college roster. Citron has been honored with the 2024 Cayman Islands Classic All-Tournament Team, and she was named to the 2024-25 Wooden Award Watch List and 2024-25 Ann Meyers Drysdale Watch List. She is also the 2024-25 Preseason All-ACC.
