Steven Ashworth NIL deal

As of December 2024, Steven Ashworth plays guard for the Creighton Blue Jays, a collegiate basketball team playing in the Big East Conference. Ashworth spent three years, from 2020 to 2023, playing for the Utah State Aggies before joining the Blue Jays. He played for Lone Peak High School, where he led the team to the Utah 6A state championship in his senior year while averaging 16.4 points, 7.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.1 steals per game. In his last season at Lone Peak, he was chosen as the Utah Valley Boys Basketball Player of the Year and Utah 6A MVP. He was also selected to be a part of the GEICO National All-Tournament Team and First Team All-State.

During his freshman season, Ashworth participated in all 29 Aggies games, scoring 177 points at an average of 6.1 points per contest. In addition, he finished fourth on the squad with 76 assists. Ashworth participated in all but one of Utah State's 34 games during his sophomore campaign and started 15 of them. He concluded the season with 287 points, averaging 8.7 points per game. In his junior year, the Alpine, Utah native was selected to the First Team All-Mountain West Conference and the Mountain West's All-Tournament Team. His averages were 16.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 4.5 assists. He received BIG EAST's Sportsmanship Award as a senior, making him Creighton's first recipient of the award since Mitch Ballock in 2021. Ashworth placed second in assist/turnover ratio, eighth in three-pointers and assists per game, and 28th in scoring.
