Steven Ashworth is a collegiate football guard for the Creighton Blue Jays basketball team, as of 2024. Prior to the Blue Jays, Ashworth played for the Utah State Aggies for three years, from 2020 to 2023. He attended Lone Peak High School where in his senior year, he averaged 16.4 points, 7.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.1 steals per game, leading Lone Peak High School to the Utah 6A state championship. He was selected to the Utah Valley Boys Basketball Player of the Year, Utah 6A MVP, GEICO National All-Tournament Team, and First Team All-State during his final season at Lone Peak.

Ashworth averaged 13.9 points, 6.9 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game as a junior, leading Lone Peak to a runner-up state finish. He also finished second in the state in assists per game.

As a freshman, Steven Ashworth played in all 29 Aggies games and finished the season with 177 points at an average of 6.1 points per game. In addition to shooting 36.5 percent (31-of-85) from beyond the arc and 89.8 percent (44-of-49) from the free throw line, he shot 35.7 percent (51-of-143) overall. He also had 76 assists, which put him fourth on the team.

During the sophomore season, Ashworth started 15 games and played in all but one of Utah State's 34 games. He averaged 8.7 points per game and finished the season with 287 points.

As a junior, Steven Ashworth made the Mountain West All-Tournament Team and was named to the First Team All-Mountain West Conference. 16.2 points, 4.5 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals were his averages.

He was the first recipient of Creighton's BIG EAST Sportsmanship Award since Mitch Ballock in 2021, having received it as a senior. In league play only, Ashworth finished 28th in scoring, eighth in three-pointers per game, eighth in assists per game, and second in assist/turnover ratio.
